Featuring an epic orchestral overture ("The Funeral Procession" as the intro) by Tharen from Austrian Black Metal pioneers ABIGOR and DARGAARD!

"Renascent Misanthropy" realises the vast potential that ASTRIAAL have displayed from their 1998 inception, building on the Blackened coviction of 2000's "Summoning the Essence of Ancient Wisdom" MCD, through to the supreme opulence the acclaimed precursor to the album, 2002's "Deception Revelation". Years of prevalent touring (supporting OPETH, MAYHEM, DESTRUCTION, INCANTATION, PUNGENT STENCH, etc.) have honed ASTRIAAL to their sonic peak, enabling the band to execute a performance rarely captured on a debut-album.

The sound and production of "Renascent Misanthropy" is far superior to that of it's predecessors, courtesy of a rich analogue recording and exceptional digital mix; overseen by one of Australia's most prominent and talented engineers, Lachlan Mitchell. With mastering of the album completed at Australia's premier mastering facility, Sony's Studio 301 in Sydney, ASTRIAAL now have the package to excel on the world stage.
