Sweden Jon has reportedly completed work on a pre-production recording of 11 new
songs, and is expecting to enter Abyss Studios sometime next year to record the
group's third full-length effort. A tentative late 2004 release through Nuclear
Blast Records is expected

EMPIRE NEWS: VADER "We Wait" - another new song! "We Wait" is another new song
which VADER is going to put on forthcoming mini album Blood. Lyrics for both new
cuts (also "Shape-Shifting") were written by Pawe Frelik. Recordings start on
July 10th. At the end of July we are going to put some pics from the studio and
maybe a few fragments of VADER's new songs as well. New bassplayer in VADER! -
After their last gig in Israel VADER parted ways with Simon (bass), due to
personal differences. Novy (well known for his participation in BEHEMOTH and
DEVILYN) has joined the band as his replacement. VADER will play first show in
the new line up on 19th of July in Czech Republic and then 20th of July in
Poland (Gliwice)

GOATWHORE news - Goatwhore has been added to the ART OF NOISE II Tour with NILE,
Kreator, Vader, and Amon Amarth, in October 2003. "We would like to explain a
few show cancelations from our recent tour with Immolation. We were having van
troubles on the West coast and we decided to push it until we reached the date
at home, if we could make it that far. We made it to the New Orleans date
(6/18/03) and put the van into the shop to get things fixed. This would cause us
to miss the Atlanta show at the Masquerade (6/19/03). The next day was an
off-day so we would only be missing one show. On Friday, June 20th our drummer
went into the hospital with a bad case of bronchitis, minor pnemonia, and a
nasal infection. This would set us back yet again for the Tampa (6/21/03) and
Ft. Lauderdale (6/22/03) shows. We will be jumping back onto the Immolation tour
in Winston-Salem, NC (6/25/03). We apologize for these cancelations and hope to
see all in October on the ART OF NOISE II Tour with NILE, Kreator, Vader, and
Amon Amarth. Please get to ART OF NOISE II shows early because we are the first
band in a line-up of 5. Thanks again and hope to see you all soon. We still have
copies of 'Funeral Dirge for the Rotting Sun' available at our shows so come out
and pick a copy up. It is the only way to get it until the July release date."
Goatwhore's soon to be released 'Funeral Dirge for the Rotting Sun' is scheduled
for a July 2003 release on Rotten Records. Rotten Records has released a vinyl
gatefold version of 'The Eclipse of Ages Into Black'. It is a limited release of
1000 copies (500 copies of the vinyl being black and 500 copies of them being
clear red)... Goatwhore has recorded the Celtic Frost cover "Into Crypts of
Rays" for a split 7" with Epoch of Unlight (from Memphis, TN), who has covered
Kreator's "Betrayer". It will be released through Bloated Goat Record...

NEW ZYKLON album "AEON" COMPLETED (to be released in SEPTEMBER) -- * London: ZYKLON premiered material from their forthcoming album, "Aeon", at London's famed Camden Underworld on June 6. The performance, which also included a set from labelmates MYRKSKOG, was preceeded by an advance listening session of "Aeon" for select media, including Kerrang!, Terrorizer, Rocksound, Powerplay, Total Rock as well as Germany's Legacy, Metal Hammer, Metal Heart, America's Metal Maniacs and Canada's Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles. The premiere also attracted the attention of metal notables - Dimmu Borgir's Nicolas Barker, Cathedral's Lee Dorian, Napalm Death's Shane Embry and Cradle of Filth's Adrian Erlandsson. "Aeon", set for worldwide release in early September, is starting to catch early fan and media attention as expectations for the album are already high. Recorded at Akkerhaugen Lydstudioin in Norway and mixed at Studio Fredman with Fredrik Nordstrom in Sweden, "Aeon" shows extensive growth for the band. Guitarist Samoth says, "the new line-up works perfectly and this time we were a lot more prepared as a band before entering the studio. The album has a lot more depth to it. Both the production and the song structures are, in general, heavier and I feel we've managed to create a stronger variation in the songs as well. 'Aeon' is definitely a step up from 'World ov Worms'." Founded in 1998, it was evident from the start that ZYKLON was to be more than just a "side-project" for EMPEROR guitarist Samoth and drummer Trym. Teaming with Destructhor (guitar, also of Myrkskog), the trio's early rehearsals ignited a spark that would put them on the fast track. The band's debut, "World ov Worms", was released in 2001 to instant media and fan acclaim. Featuring guest appeances from members of LIMBONIC ART and ARCTURUS, the album found itself upon many magazine and critic "Best of Year" lists. Album-art for "Aeon" has been created by long-time friend and accomplished artist Stephen O'Malley (Emperor, Burzum, Darkthrone). The album features guest contributions from VOID's Ocd and RED HARVEST's Ofu Kahn (both courtesy of Nocturnal Art Productions). The album again features lyrics penned by Faust (Emperor). It is the first album to feature new vocalist/bassist Secthdamon. Final track listings for "Aeon" include: Psyklon Aeon, Core Solution, Subtle Manipulation, Two Thousand Years, No Name Above the Names, The Prophetic Method, Speciment Eruption, Electric Current, An Eclectic Manner.

LEGENDARY BAND REPULSION TO REUNITE; CLASSIC ALBUM 'HORRIFIED' REISSUED -- Death metal / grindcore innovators REPULSION have re-united nearly fifteen years after the release of their beyond-classic album "Horrified". REPULSION [Scott Carlson (vocals / bass), Aaron Freeman (guitar), Matt Olivo (guitar) and Dave Grave (drums)] have announced plans to perform live -- for the first time in over 10 years -- as one of the headlining acts at the 2003 Milwaukee Metalfest, in Milwaukee Wisconsin. In addition, REPULSION's "Horrified" album has been reissued in a deluxe DOUBLE-CD format. Originally released in Europe during 1989 by members of CARCASS on their Necrosis Records label, "Horrified" is a genre-pioneering masterpiece that has influenced almost every band playing Death Metal, most notably NAPALM DEATH, CARCASS, ENTOMBED, CANNIBAL CORPSE etc. The re-issued and remastered "Horrified" includes the band's classic LP, the Excruciation 7", and the elusive REPULSION demos, plus a bonus disc replete with extremely rare demo material and a live radio broadcast from GENOCIDE (pre-REPULSION, pre-1987). The recently re-issued "Horrified" received an unprecedented 11/10 (!) rating in Terrorizer Magazine -- the first such score in the history of the publication -- with the noted metal tome calling the band "Visionaries, legends, pioneers" and "the yardstick by which all other grind bands are measured." To this day "Horrified" still stands as one of the fastest and heaviest records ever unleashed on the world, setting the bar for all extreme metal acts that followed. Guitarist Matt Olivo commented "It has been nothing short of an honor for us to be receiving such overwhelming recognition after all these years. I'm personally looking forward to kicking ass at the Milwaukee Metalfest and beyond."
